Auto-applying to jobs in India: what works
Auto-apply tools promise hundreds of applications a day without you lifting a finger. Speed matters in off-campus hiring, so the idea makes sense. But for freshers in India, three things go wrong.
Why blind auto-apply disappoints
- Eligibility isn't checked. Bots apply wherever keywords match, including roles that ask for another batch, degree or city. Recruiters filter those out first.
- Every application looks the same. The same cover note to every company reads as bulk, because it is.
- Portals are the most crowded place. A post with 2,000 applicants doesn't get read top to bottom.
What to automate, and what not to
| Automate | Keep for yourself |
|---|---|
| Finding new posts within minutes, from careers boards and channels | Deciding which roles you actually want |
| Checking batch, degree, location and experience | Reading the email before it goes |
| Finding the hiring inbox the company published | Pressing Send, from your own account |
| Writing a first draft from your resume for that one role | Preparing for the interview it gets you |
How applyrn does it
applyrn reads company careers boards, job feeds and Telegram job channels every 30 minutes, keeps only the jobs you're eligible for, finds the hiring inbox the company published, and writes a personal email for each role from your resume. You read it and press Send from your own Gmail: about ten seconds an email, up to 100 a day. Nothing is ever sent for you.
Questions
Is there a tool to auto apply for jobs in India?
Several tools submit applications automatically. applyrn takes a different approach for Indian freshers: it finds new jobs you're eligible for every 30 minutes and writes a personal email to the company's hiring inbox, which you send from your own Gmail.
Do auto-apply bots get interviews?
Rarely for freshers: they apply to roles you aren't eligible for and send the same note everywhere. Applying fast to eligible roles with a personal note works better.
