applyrnBot
applyrnBot reads public job listings (careers pages and job boards) so students can see openings they're eligible for. If you saw "applyrnBot/1.0" in your logs, this is what it does:
- It obeys robots.txt, including rules for its own name, and stops at any page that asks for a login or a bot check. It never tries to get past one.
- It sends one request at a time to a site, with a pause between requests, and reads only pages that list jobs or a published hiring contact.
- It doesn't fill in forms, apply to jobs or send email. Students apply themselves.
To stop it
Add this to your robots.txt; it takes effect on the next visit:

Recruiters who'd rather not receive emails from applyrn users can also use the recruiter opt-out. Questions: [email protected].
